Welcome to the 2019 show!

Dear friends,

We rolled out the red carpet for the 2018 Bristol Bay Fish Expo to welcome our 55+ exhibitors, over 600 attendees, industry leaders, local personalities, the Governor and other candidates, press, and VIPs.

In keeping with our theme, Celebrating our past | Sustaining our Future the <NN> Cannery History Project hosted Mug Up, a cannery tradition of coffee and doughnut breaks to get caffeinated and socialize. United Tribes of Bristol Bay delivered information on protecting our fishery and sustaining our natural resource of wild salmon far into the future.

Our kids continued the tradition of presenting the first fish of the season to elders, Steve and Fran Herting. We consider Steve the grandfather of Little Angels Childcare Academy, as he helped conceive the idea for a fish expo fundraiser to help sustain our newly spawned childcare center. Proceeds from the 2nd Annual Fish Expo allowed us to raise the hourly wage for caregivers, as we continue our search for a Program Director and await state licensing.

Bristol Bay Fish Expo made the news, reported by Rhonda McBride of KTVA who attended and also moderated our Gubernatorial Debate, which was focused on issues in Rural Alaska. She highlighted our wildly popular Fashion Show, Live Auction, and Speed-hiring events on her news report.

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our Exhibitors, Attendees, Sponsors, Donors, and of course, our dedicated Volunteers.

As our Fish Expo grows and changes, one thing will remain the same: It will be always be an intimate event that connects our community and industry and celebrates our wild salmon resource—all for the benefit of our children.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us each step of the way. Looking forward to the 2019 Bristol Bay Fish Expo, we are excited to announce open registration for the 2019 Bristol Bay Fish Expo. This year we have uploaded the floorplan and you will be able to choose your booth space when your register. Please select your perfect space our newly redesigned Bristol Bay Fish Expo website.

xoxo,

Sharon and Katie
